  1. I have read a lot about the flipped classroom myself. I struggle on how I could make this model work in my elementary classroom. I have many students (at least 8) without access to internet at their house on a consistent basis. I do tend to have students watch videos on Khan Academy to learn a way to work out a math problem. I can see the benefits.

  2. I think the flipped learning model is definitely the new trend in education. I also struggle to see how I would do this in a 3rd grade classroom, but I would be interested in giving it a try. I think one way I could make it happen is during center time. One of the centers could be students learning material on their own before coming to a teacher-led group. I also think there would need to be some sort of guiding questions or activity to give students a focus as they watch the instructional videos. Do you use a flipped model in your classroom? If so, what results are you seeing?
